Create Free ProfileThe Department of Posts has released the GDS Online Engagement Schedule-II, July-2026 notification, inviting applications for 23,757 Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) posts — Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevak — across postal circles nationwide. Candidates who have passed Class 10 with Mathematics and English from a recognised board, and have studied the local language up to Class 10, are eligible. There is no written exam — selection is entirely merit-based on Class 10 marks through a system-generated list. The application fee is ₹100, with full exemption for women and SC/ST/PwBD/Transwomen candidates. This is one of the largest GDS recruitment drives of the year and a straightforward entry point into a Department of Posts career with a Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) and annual increments.
