CGPA to Percentage Calculator
Convert your CGPA to an equivalent percentage.
Formula
Percentage = CGPA × Multiplier. CBSE uses a multiplier of 9.5; other boards and universities may use a different figure — check your board's official conversion formula if it's not CBSE.
Example
A CGPA of 8.4 with a 9.5 multiplier converts to 8.4 × 9.5 = 79.8%.
Why this matters for government jobs
When a recruitment notification asks for a minimum percentage but your marksheet shows CGPA, you may need to convert it using your institution's official formula — some recruiters accept only the institution's own conversion, not a generic multiplier.
